Last year, Mimi (now in Year 6) starred in a TV advert for Heart FM. This year, she's BACK - IN the back, that is, of a new audi car, discussing her own ideas for the future of driving. Well done Mimi! Watch below... Hope you all had a fun and restful holiday. Welcome back to school! Music club sign-up forms and Battle of the Bands entry forms are now available to download. Either click on the relevant form below, or visit the Clubs Page or the Battle of the Bands 2018 page.
Many thanks to Ms Montague, for teaching and leading this song with the whole school during our end of term assembly.
Thanks and congratulations also to our other performers today - - Ernie, Maya and India for singing this year's arrangement of Silent Night - Misa for her piano solo (Don't Stop Believing) - Rosa, Molly, Maya and Lily performing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas A magical, musical end to what's been a busy and brilliant term. Wishing you all a fun-filled and very happy holiday. Congratulations to all of the children in our community who've been performing around the city this festive season: Mega Choir, Super Choir, Orchestra, Year 3, plus, students with Brighton & Hove Music & Arts, Orchestra 360, BIMM academy, Stage Coach, Bird Studios, Theatre Workshop and Drama Queens. Well done for showcasing your talents so confidently and so brilliantly. You've inspired and entertained so many lucky audiences. Enjoy a well deserved holiday break and have fun. See you all in 2018! Our talented children made more than one appearance in The Argus this month. We were featured on BBC South East today on the evening of our huge Christmas Celebration Concert at St. Martin's Church. Unfortunately their live connection to the BBC studio during our concert, failed. To view photos and video clips from our Christmas concerts this year (Brighton Centre, Concert to Ex-Pupils, St. Martin's Church),

Enormous thanks and congratulations to everyone involved in last night's Christmas celebration concert.. Nearly 60 ex-pupils of Downs Junior School (1930s - 1950s) returned to their old stomping ground on Tuesday, to experience a Christmas concert This served as a great warm up for Mega Choir, Super Choir and Orchestra ahead of their big concert at St. Martin's Church.
The feedback from ex-pupils was extremely positive and joyous and appreciative. Well done kids - you inflated their hearts with happiness. |
